For years, the U.S. has been the country with the largest donor community and the biggest total donations. It is also the first country to introduce new legal forms of entity such as the benefit corporation (not to be confused with the marketing B-Corp badge) and a country where impact investment is proving to be a critical new leverage against business as usual.
The 2026 edition of the USA 100 SGOs will certainly come under pressure from more challenging, disruptive, and innovative entities of different legal forms. And we are certainly very much looking for that.
