For years, the U.S. has been the country with the largest donor community and the biggest total donations. It is also the first country to introduce new legal forms of entity such as the benefit corporation (not to be confused with the marketing B-Corp badge) and a country where impact investment is proving to be a critical new leverage against business as usual.
